WordPress was started in 2003 as a tool to allow people to start their own blogs on the internet, just so they could have a presence online, a place to share their thoughts and views. Since then it has evolved into one of the most useful, popular ways to run a website online.
Artists such as Katy Perry, Jason Mraz and Red Hot Chilli Peppers use WordPress on their website. Companies like McAfee and Blackberry also use it. Because it’s so easy to use, you’ll be up and running in no time – once your website is designed of course.
WordPress has an easy-to-use administration section which makes it easy to update your website. It also features an intuitive editor (similar to Microsoft Word) which allows you to insert images, bold and italic text, bullet-point lists, links and more.
Of course, there are times when WordPress won’t suit the project, times when a custom-built content management system is needed. This can also be done, but will require a bit more time. Get in touch with me to find out more.
